Classicon Bibendum Armchair DAMI Beige

The ClassiCon Bibendum Armchair (1926) is a design by Eileen Gray. At the beginning of her career, Eileen specialized in lacquerware. After the First World War, she was commissioned to design the interior of a French hat maker’s shop. She not only fitted the store with lacquered wall panels, but also designed the furniture, including the world-famous Bibendum Fauteuil. This job was her big breakthrough and the Bibendum chair is seen as one of the most innovative, recognizable furniture designs of the twentieth century.
